Sequence Dancing

sequence dancing1

Sequence Dancing is based on ballroom dancing with a sequence of steps being repeated throughout each dance.  We do a wide selection of sequence dances including cha cha chas, foxtrots, quicksteps, waltzes, jives, saunters, tangos and rumbas.

It's a very enjoyable social activity and there is a real sense of fun learning to master new dances.

Our leader is Roberta Redpath, who is a fully-qualified ballroom, salsa and sequence dance teacher. She teaches dances suitable for beginners and intermediates, and these are repeated regularly week by week, allowing us to build up a repertoire of dances we're familiar with.

Don't worry if you're a single person, as both Roberta and Bea (who assists) know the steps for both men and women. Sometimes we have more men than women attending, and sometimes more women than men.

You can find links to online videos of the dances we do at Sequence Dancing Links.
