The general aim of the group is community, friendship,getting together for a chat - and perhaps even grow some vegetables too!
The plot is up and running, having been cleared, with a few potatoes planted already.
There is no regular meeting time at present but members are free to go at any stage during the day.
We have established contacts with other groups and are building relationships with them.
DIY

Our aim is to cover what you need for a basic/emergency toolkit and a range of tasks such as putting up shelves/curtain poles, prepping for decorating etc.
Instruction will be given by a member of NDA U3A.
Railway Appreciation

The group will meet once a month with presentations that will cover (in not too much technical detail) all aspects of railways including :
- Past, Present and Future
- Local, Irish, British Isles and International
- Heavy Rail, Light Rail, Miniature Rail, Model Railways and Tramways
- Steam, Diesel, Electric and any other form of traction
Hopefully members will offer to give a presentation (with assistance in preparation if required) on a rail subject close to their heart.
Once established, it is hoped that day trips, preferably by train, can be organised to locations with a rail interest.
Men's Shed

Men's Shed is being established to advance the health, wellbeing and education of its members by providing a safe and happy environment where members can pursue hobbies, learn new skills and promote the mentoring of fellow members.
We intend to provide a space for men to connect, converse and create so, if you're interested in woodworking, metalworking or community projects (or simply want to have a coffee with like-minded people) come and join us.
