Psychology ‘the study of mind, body and behaviour’.
Psychology permeates our lives whether we are aware of it or not. Marketing, selling, teaching and learning all incorporate varying psychological perspectives and are examples of how it affects our life experiences.
The Psychology group is for those who want to consider aspects of Psychology in a friendly and open way. Group members will be expected to suggest items for the programme, participate in group discussion and, should they wish, lead sessions on subjects of their choosing. No qualifications or in-depth knowledge are required, just a curiosity and willingness to explore this subject in company with other interested people.

We are a small group that meets regularly to explore spirituality and help each other find spiritual direction in our lives.
Members can be from any spiritual tradition or none. We are not attached to any religion and we do not seek to influence each other on religious matters.
We start with refreshments and a chat about what’s important to any of us at the time. We often have a short input from a member, followed by a short meditation and then any sharing that members want to do.
In recent meetings we have explored the Buddhist approach of Thich Nhat Hanh, the psycho - synthesis concepts behind transpersonal psychology, the Enneagram and the Transformation Game (a self-discovery game played in a supportive environment developed at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland).
The leader is Peter Gay but only in the sense of organising. The aim is that leadership will be shared and everyone will make a contribution of one form or another; however making presentations or leading meditation is not obligatory.
