Arts & Crafts

CRAFTY ART
This group facilitates beginners in any medium, except conventional oil paint, plus those who would like to try something new, such as pencil, coloured pencil, charcoal, pastel, oil pastel, watercolour, gouache, acrylic, collage, or a mix of any of them.  There is no formal teaching; members are encouraged and helped to 'have a go' and to learn from the experience of 'doing'.  Bring along the materials you want to work with... and enthusiasm to be creative!

Thursday / 2.00pm - 4.00pm / Marquis Hall, Abbey Street, Bangor

ENJOY ART
This group is suitable for beginners, with a teaching session once a month and encouragement to develop your own style in any medium except traditional oils.  The group is currently full but, if interested, please contact the Convenor.

Wednesday / 2.00pm - 4.00pm / George Green Centre, Rathgill Parade

CALLIGRAPHY
Calligraphy is the art of handwriting, with many different fonts. The class elects which font to study, after advice from the tutor, and then practices for the duration of the course (usually ten weeks).  We have also made simple boxes and cards and all would agree that we have fun.  Come and join us - all welcome!

Tuesday / 1.30pm - 3.30pm / George Green Centre, Rathgill Parade

CRAFT
We are a group interested in all sorts of crafts.  Members have a wide range of expertise, for example patchwork, knitting, tapestry, cross-stitch, and bead weaving.  They are very willing to share this expertise with anyone wishing to try something new.  Sometimes we bring our own items and at other times we all work on one craft, such as card making.  New members are always welcome.

2nd & 4th Tuesday in month / 10.30am - 12.30pm / George Green Centre, Rathgill Parade

FUN WITH FLOWERS
We are a group of people who enjoy working with flowers.  Having fun is the priority and, hopefully, the more relaxed we are the more creative and artistic our arrangements become.

2nd Thursday in month / 2.30pm - 4.00pm / George Green Centre, Rathgill Parade
